BiographyTim and Ryan O’Neill each began taking piano lessons at age 5, taking their turns practicing every day along with each of their other three siblings. The O'Neill Brothers occasionally shared the bench throughout elementary school and junior high, often performing at family gatherings. They began playing for weddings when they were in high school. While attending the University of Notre Dame, they discovered the appeal of two brothers playing on two pianos. After college, they decided to plunge full-time into the business of writing, playing, recording and selling music to a growing audience. In 1997, the two started their own independent record label. In addition to reaching hundreds of thousands of fans, they’ve accomplished things they barely even dreamed were possible along the way. In 2000 they began the first of several annual holiday concert tours, which grew to as many as nine cities as it gained in popularity over the years. Throughout their career, the brothers have written and performed music for television, including HBO ("Sex and the City"), PBS, NBC and ESPN. They frequently appear on QVC, several of their albums have hit the Billboard charts, and their PBS special, "Piano for Someone You Love," earned an Emmy nomination. Critics and fans agree that The O'Neill Brothers bring a "refreshing style to piano music." Publications including Minnesota Bride, Newsday, Phoenix Bride and Groom, and Southern Bride have featured their wedding music collections and advice.
