Celebrity Wedding: Tina Turner

Will You Have A Celebrity Wedding?

OK, very few of us can actually have a star-studded celebrity wedding like that of Tina Turner and other celebrities. But, we can take away bits and pieces that we might want to incorporate into our own wedding.

For example, Tina requested that her female guests wear white and male guests wear black tie. Bet that made her stunning gown stand out. Great way to be even more of a focus point on your big day! And one must wonder why, after being together with Erwin Bach for 27 years, they finally decided to make it official? To each his own.

And that’s never more true than on your wedding day. Your big day can be a ‘celebrity wedding’ when you incorporate things that are special for the two of you.

  • Add vintage accessories to reflect the hottest season trend — the 1920s wedding
  • Share your favorite snack/treat with your guests
  • Don’t have bridesmaids or groomsmen
  • Skip the bridal shower
  • Have both parents accompany you down the aisle
  • Plan the day in a few months rather than a few years – amazing how simple you can keep things that way
  • Try this for your “something blue” — shoes, temporary tattoo, or flowers
  • Wear sparkly tennis shoes instead of heels
  • Incorporate elements of your heritage

Whatever style of wedding you choose, make sure the music fits too.Whether you’re exchanging vows in a park with flowers in your hair or wearing the latest European fashions as you gather in a cavernous cathedral, the music you choose for your wedding ceremony should fit.
